Raquel Vallejo-Moore, MSHP, PA-C is a Physician Assistant and has been NCCPA certified for over 20 years. Raquel was born and raised in south Texas and is fluent in Spanish and English. She received her first BS in Clinical L. Science from UT Health Science Center SA, her second BS in Physician Assistant studies from UTMB Galveston, and her Master of Science in Health Professions from UTMB Galveston. Raquel pursued psychiatry after many years in primary care settings where she observed that common complaints like inflammation, insomnia, and weight gain so often had an underlying psychological or psychiatric component.
Her passion lies in empowering patients through education. She helps her patients understand the origins of their conditions, from genetic predisposition to unprocessed trauma. She guides her patients to recovery with personalized medical and therapeutic modalities. Raquel wants everyone she treats to reach their full potential and achieve their own personal goals.
