Psychotherapy

Roots Behavioral Health is owned and operated by both a social worker and a psychiatrist. As an integrative and integrated mental healthcare clinic, staffed with psychiatrists and PAs in addition to trained psychotherapists, our mission is to holistically address each one of our patients’ unique circumstances. We offer a wide variety of services to ensure that everyone receives the proper treatment for their specific situation, and this oftentimes includes a blend of psychotherapeutic as well psychiatric methods. Therapy and medication work better together rather than alone, and the coupling of the two is a unique, synergistic benefit hard to find anywhere else in Central Texas.

Our diverse set of highly-skilled practitioners works together to make sure every person who comes to us receives the necessary treatment for them to get better. The therapeutic relationship is sacred, and we understand that our duty to patients is a great privilege. While our therapists have varied backgrounds and therapeutic orientations, each one of them shares the belief that every person has an internal healing intelligence, which we honor and support. We recognize that pain is inevitable, but suffering doesn’t have to be mandatory.

We address a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and Stress Management
  • Depression
  • Traumatic Experiences
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Family Conflict
  • Self-Esteem
  • Parenting and Career Challenges
  • Existential Issues

Our rates for psychotherapy vary from $125 to $150 per 50-minute session. Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance for psychotherapy services at this time.
