NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS
Abí Steinsiek (they/she) is a Master of Science in Social Work intern from the University of Texas under the supervision of Roots Behavioral Health’s psychotherapy program manager, Jennifer Hernandez, LCSW. They acquired an undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience from Elon University before finding their passion as a master breathwork practitioner and yoga teacher. From these enriching experiences, Abí purposefully learned to combine holistic integration techniques, and somatic and mindfulness tools with evidence-based therapeutic frameworks such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy.
Approaching sensory and somatic therapy methods from a trauma-centric lens, Abí creates a slow and personalized therapeutic experience. They have experience supporting non-monogamous and LGBTQIA+ populations and individuals experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, existentialism, grief and loss, life transitions, self-exploration, and trauma. Abí’s numerous professional interests and personal passions weave together mind-body approaches, social justice, psychedelic integration, ecotherapy, and end-of-life care. Outside of work they can be found connecting with nature, strumming musical notes, cruising on a mountain bike, and creating immersive community ritual spaces to honor the life cycles.
Fees for individual therapy with Abí are $50 per 50-minute session. To schedule a free 15-minute consultation, please contact abigail@rootsbehavioralhealth.com
