Psychotherapy Intern

Accepting Clients

Mary Ramsey (she/her) is an intern in the Master of Science in Social Work program at the University of Texas at Austin, transitioning into psychotherapy after a rewarding career in special education. With a passion for supporting children and families, Mary dedicated herself to fostering inclusive classrooms and school environments.

In her clinical practice, Mary embodies a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach. She integrates Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to meet the unique needs of her clients. Mary is deeply committed to perinatal mental health, thoughtfully supporting clients through the complexities and joys of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. She believes therapy provides a safe space to honor individual stories while collaboratively fostering fulfillment and well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Mary can be found reading novels, exploring the outdoors, and sharing adventures with her husband and two young boys.
